To evaluate results, we have patients come in for follow-up evaluations visits six months following the treatments.<\/li><li>Short-term immediate risks include prolonged redness at the area being treated, although this usually dissipates before you leave the office or within a couple of hours.<\/li><li>Swelling can occur and could last for a few days to a week.<\/li><li>In some rare instances, swelling and redness may last over a few weeks.<\/li><li>The treatment area may also become temporarily white (blanching) following a treatment.
